RiderFest only ONE month away!


RiderFest Scheduled for Saturday March 1, 2014!

RiderFest is the Annual Woodstone Elementary School carnival benefiting the Woodstone Elementary PTA.  Funds raised will help to support student programs such as Watchdogs, Red Ribbon Week, Bully Free Week, Field Trips, Classroom Parties and so much more.   RiderFest is a family friendly carnival with something for everyone! GAMES and PRIZES for the kids, inflatables for all ages, face painting, silly string, cascarones, food, and a craft fair and silent auction for the parents!  

Donations still needed for RiderFest

Woodstone Elementary PTA relies on the generosity of the the families, community, and local businesses to make RiderFest a successful event.  The following items are still needed: 

Hot Dog buns             Hot Dogs              Individual bags of chips              Canned Soda
Bottled Water             Gift Cards             Monetary donations                    Silly String

mall Prizes    

If you would like to donate a Silent Auction item (Minimum $25 value) these are also needed too!  Woodstone Elementary PTA, relies on donations from students families, local businesses and others to support this event.  To make a donation or for additional questions contact Crystal Segner.

Rider News

PTA Meeting Reminder

Join Woodstone PTA for the last PTA meeting of the 2012-2013 school year.  Meeting will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2013 at 6:00pm in the Woodstone Cafeteria. During this meeting the 2013-2014 PTA officers will be selected.  Join us for this important meeting where PTA members will elect officers to carry on the PTA mission in the upcoming school year.  For more information contact Laura Zaik, President at laura@woodstonepta.com


5th Grade Celebration!

This school year has really flown by and it’s hard to imagine that in less than a month our 5th graders will be classified as middle-schoolers.  But before they transition into this new role, it’s our job as the Woodstone PTA to give them them the best send off.  5th grade students you voted and we listened!  With a 96-31 vote this year 5th graders with participate in the first ever Woodstone 5th Grade Prom.  Join the  5th Grade Party Committee  Tuesday May 7th at 6:00pm – immediately following the PTA meeting to help plan their magical night.  After the PTA meeting the 5th grade party committee  will meet in the library for 30-45 minutes.For more information contact Kimberly Martin at kimberly@woodstonepta.com


Woodstone Teachers are So Special!

We are sure all of you agree that Our Woodstone Rider Teachers & Staff are AWESOME!!  This week we have a chance to let them know how much they are appreciated!  This week, May 6th-10th is Teacher Appreciation Week and the Woodstone PTA has lined up a full week of opportunities for us to shower our teachers and staff with affection.  We want to let them know what an important role they play in our lives and the lives of our children. The PTA has designated a theme for each day next week and will be honoring them with gifts everyday too! Participation is optional; words of affirmation/encouragement or even hugs are also gifts that teachers appreciate.  Pleased have fun with this!!

Monday, May 6th:  ‘You color my world’ – Wear your teacher’s favorite color
Tuesday, May 7th: ‘Thank you for helping me Bloom’ – Bring your teacher a flower (real/silk/homemade/picture)
Wednesday, May 8th:  ‘Teachers lead us in the ‘WRITE’ direction’ – PARENTS: write a Thank You note to your child’s teacher AND encourage your child to do the same. Bring your teacher a card, note, stationery… to let you know you appreciate her/him.
Thursday, May 9th:  ‘Because you are so sweet’ bring your teacher his/her favorite drink, snack, cookie or candy.
Friday, May 10th: ‘Thanks for making our days fun’ – bring your teacher something for the classroom or anything from his or her ‘Favorites’ (supplies; pencils, markers, post its, glue sticks, small toys, a book…)
